Compliance Standards for Safer Cleaning Services
Safety, Quality & Environmental Compliance
Australian Commercial Maintenance provides commercial cleaning and facility maintenance services for industrial, commercial and public sites across Melbourne and Victoria. We are committed to conducting all work in a way that protects the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, clients, site users and the general public.
Our management team is committed to continual improvement across our safety, quality and compliance systems. We actively work to reduce workplace risks, prevent work-related injury and illness, and maintain safe operating procedures across every cleaning and maintenance project.
When ACM employees perform work away from company premises, all activities are carried out in accordance with relevant occupational health and safety legislation, regulations, codes of practice, statutory requirements and local by-laws. This ensures our team can complete commercial cleaning and facility maintenance work safely, responsibly and in line with site-specific requirements.
To achieve this, we will:
- Identify and reduce the risk of work-related injuries and illnesses through proactive monitoring of work practices and mandatory staff training.
- Provide employees with regular information about workplace hazards, hazard controls and safe work procedures.
- Induct all employees in required safe work practices, site expectations and business procedures before commencing work.
- Investigate all incidents to identify contributing factors and implement preventive actions to reduce the risk of recurrence.
- Use effective supervision to manage physical, chemical and operational hazards across cleaning and maintenance worksites.
- Comply with all relevant occupational health and safety laws, regulations, codes of practice and statutory requirements.
- Conduct regular compliance audits to ensure adherence to company policies, client requirements and regulatory obligations.
- Review safety performance through management reporting and implement improvements where risks or gaps are identified.
- Involve and consult employees and clients in identifying practical workplace safety improvements and risk control measures.
This Safety Policy is fully supported by the Managing Director and all ACM employees.
